The modern simplicity of the Orley fall/winter 2016 collection shown at NYFW immediately captured my attention. The collection presented both men's wear and women's wear. As fresh faced models with disheveled bedhead strutted down the runway in cool Chelsea booties, an essence of effortless style was created.

There was incredible variety in the designs presented at the Todd Snyder Fall/Winter 2016 collection at NYFW but the designs all had one thing in common: they presented the concept of what the modern gentleman would wear.
"Dapper" is the first word that comes to mind when thinking of the Robert Geller Fall/Winter 2016 collection shown at NYFW. As male models strutted down the runway in sophisticated loafers carrying briefcases, wearing sophisticated gloves and showing off timeless watches, there was a definite sense that the collection took style cues from the 1940's.
The Concept Korea: Ordinary People men's collection shown at NYFW for Fall/Winter 2016 presented designs with a high focus on silhouette and color. Through the strong use of these design elements, a hip sense of luxury was created with the collection.
Raul Penaranda took style cues from the late 1990's and early 2000's in his Fall/Winter 2016 collection. Throughout his collection, Penaranda utilized shiny fabrics such as silk and satin as well as silver and golden metallic fabrics. He used a wide variety of colors in the collection including a stunning red-wine, gray, light pink, brown, cream and light green. The fabrics and colors that Penaranda incorporated into the collection definitely screamed late 1990's and early 2000's.
The John Elliott Fall/Winter 2016 runway show at NYFW fascinated viewers as models strutted casual yet refined looks down the runway. For this menswear collection, Elliott utilized a wide selection of various neutral colors from heather gray to cozy cream to brilliant burgundy. The color black also played a pivotal role in this collection.
