Orley immediately captured my attention at New York Fashion Week

The modern simplicity of the Orley fall/winter 2016 collection shown at NYFW immediately captured my attention. The collection presented both men's wear and women's wear. As fresh faced models with disheveled bedhead strutted down the runway in cool Chelsea booties, an essence of effortless style was created.

The collection focused on updating classic pieces in a minimalistic manner. Deep rich colors such as burgundy, plum, fuchsia, navy and black contrasted with light shades of icy blue, pale pink and warm cream. The use of color in this collection created a sense of boldness in the classics.

Classic silhouettes such as button-down tops, sophisticated blazers and cozy sweaters were utilized in this collection but with updated touches. Button downs were tousled and disheveled, layered underneath sweaters and polo shirts. Turtlenecks, drop waistlines and longer hemlines were also incorporated into this collection.
