Cushnie Et Ochs made a splash in the fashion industry when they recently presented their Summer/Spring 2017 collection at New York Fashion Week. The collection felt very subtle: subtly sexy, subtly glamorous. But subtle in a major way. And majorly modern.
The collection made strong use of color, shape and silhouette. Primarily, neutral colors like black and white were utilized in the collection with a few light pops of color. However, while the colors used may have been neutral, they felt very strong as the collection focused primarily on solid colored garments and color-blocked designs to make a major statement.
Playing off the color-blocking, the collection utilized a variety of unique shapes to create interest as well as unique silhouettes. Silhouettes included high-rise hemlines, daring cut-outs and asymmetry.
